Education should not be a privilege. It is essential to make it accessible to everyone, starting from an early age
We are raising funds for Léa PAIRE-FICOUT to teach French for a year in 5 kindergartens located in one of the largest slums in Lima in 2021. The project is supported by the association Pérou Amitié Solidarité, created in 2003.
These schools welcome children from 3 to 6 years old. The association also offers sponsorship of children to allow them to have a hot and balanced meal per day, and works in connection with a dispensary to take care of the children's health. They enable student nurses to carry out internships and to follow up with the children (weigh, measure and vaccinate).
Our idea is very simple: children can speak French before the end of kindergarten! This is crucial, particularly in a country where education is so expensive and inaccessible to people living in difficult conditions. Often, changing the future of one of these children leads to an improvement in the standard of living for their whole family!
Lea will therefore go from school to school (we call them "casitas") to teach French to these children. They will benefit from 1 hour per day from Monday to Friday – that means 5 hours per week of French for each of the children.
Support us to help them!
